Business Cooperation

Prospective students want to choose an education connected to modern technologies. Parents want to know that their children's studies will provide not only a diploma but also a strong start to their careers. Businesses are looking for young professionals who understand not only the theory in the curriculum, but also modern tools, processes, and industry requirements.

That is why cooperation with business has become one of the key principles of the Department of Virtual Reality Systems.

The first step was the creation of the bachelor's program “Computer Science (Virtual Reality Systems)”. It was developed together with Lviv IT Cluster with the participation of industry professionals. Today, this cooperation continues through the review and updating of the educational program, guest lectures and workshops, the exchange of practical experience, and mentoring of student projects.

The department is an active member of XR Ukraine, an association that brings together Ukrainian companies, developers, and researchers working with virtual and augmented reality technologies. We also cooperate directly with individual companies, including Tsukat. Department students visited the company's office, met its team, and saw how real XR projects are created. The company later invited students to complete an internship.

Another outcome has been the creation of platforms for dialogue between education and industry. One example is an online conference held as part of the international CoMet workshop (Cognitive Metaverse: Beyond Traditional Reality), which the department organized together with industry partners. The conference focused on XR market analysis, technology trends, and an open discussion about the skills businesses expect from future professionals and how education and industry can cooperate more effectively.
